Kiwi Community Assistance – Grenada North, Wellington

Tracy, Phil and their team of volunteers at KCA https://www.kca.org.nz/ are doing incredible work within our community.

Through their work of distributing a variety of items for those in need, they needed chilled and frozen food storage space and had outgrown their collection of small fridges, freezers and chilled cabinets.

Wellington Refrigeration were able to design and build a custom cold storage facility, larger than they had budgeted for, running tighter margins in order to maximise space and taking into account their not-for-profit status. 6 months after completing construction in , KCA had outgrown both their frozen and chilled space sadly due to the increased demand following the COVID 19 Pandemic.

Wellington Refrigeration were once again employed to do the additions, since then exterior cool rooms for volunteers to access without entering the facility have been supplied. These have generally been funded by generous donors or government grants and a little bit of our help to make their dollar achieve the most value possible.
