Wellington Refrigeration Ltd was contracted by Aquaheat to carry out a specialist panel and refrigeration installation and commissioning, utilising the lowest Global Warming Potential (GWP) HFC refrigerant available at the time R448A at -22°C room temp. The pharmaceutical products stored have an estimated value of over $1m NZD at any one time, therefore requiring not only an incredibly reliable installation but also a supervisory system that could monitor and log temperatures, as well as alert quickly in the event of an abnormal temperature or a fault signal.
